Clock Tower At Sipitang

These two picture was in Sipitang, Sabah. This clock tower is on a road along the beach. Late evenings and till up to 9.00 at night, foodstalls liven up the area. How nice to savour your delidious food to the tune of the sea waves hitting the shore. 

Clock Monument at Alor Setar

This is actually not a clock tower but just a monument. I saw this at the junction of Jalan Tunku Ibrahim and Jalan Sultan Badlishah in Alor Setar.

The monument depict the culture of the city as a rice bowl of Malaysia. The four pillars that support this clock is in the shape of a "Kuku Kambing" or literally translates goats hoofs. This implement is used by the padi farmer to plant young padi plant into the ground during transplanting season. Nowadays this implement id very rare since transplanting is not popular anymore. Padi seeds are just scattered onto the fields instead of using a nursery.

Kampar Clock Tower

This clock tower can be seen at one of the junction before entering the Kampar town. Based on the inscription on the tower it might be erected commemorating the independence of Malaya in 1957.

Clock Tower in Klang

Saw this clock tower at a small park beside the Bulatan 100 (100 roundabout). No!, there's no
100 roundablut in that area but the I wonder why it is called so. Maybe some rader of this blog can enlightened me about it and we can share with other readers.
